When one’s brain is naively empty,
The mind is self serving, can't offer empathy.
It cannot throw up undigestible data,
Like a stomach does,
Nor label or judge, what’s known as dirty.
When the mind is closed off, it often prioritizes itself over others, losing the ability to connect deeply and offer empathy. Unlike the stomach, which can expel what doesn't serve it, the mind tends to hold onto harmful or distorted ideas, labeling and judging without question. This rigidity blinds us to perspectives that challenge our comfort zones.
True growth comes when we allow ourselves to examine these thoughts critically, letting go of biases and embracing the discomfort of self-awareness. Empathy isn’t automatic it’s a skill that requires us to listen, reflect, and open our hearts to others. Only then can we create meaningful connections and contribute positively to the world.
